AC Milan give final ultimatum to Donnarumma

Gianluigi Donnarumma’s contract expires in a few days and AC Milan are getting tired of his silence.

Inevitably, the Gianluigi Donnarumma issue risks getting in the way of Milan. The close contract deadline makes the future of the AC Milan goalkeeper a real puzzle, also due to his hesitation to accept the renewal offer.

In reality, the situation is quite clear for AC Milan. Donnarumma is considered a club asset as well as one of the best goalkeepers in world football. For this reason, Paolo Maldini and company have put on the table an offer of €8 million net per season to keep Gigio at San Siro and avoid losing him for free.

An offer deemed appropriate and economic suitable by the Rossoneri executives. But which evidently still does not fully convince Donnarumma or his volcanic and uncomfortable agent Mino Raiola. Raiola asks between 10-12 million per season and insists on a release clause.

Tuttosport (via MilanLive.it) reports that AC Milan are starting to get tired of Donnarumma’s and his entourage’s lack of answers. The deadline is getting closer and closer and the Rossoneri have given the Italian goalkeeper a final ultimatum to decide his future.

The Rossoneri expect a response from Donnarumma within 30 days, therefore by the end of May. By that time the championship will have ended and the goalkeeper himself will probably have a clearer picture.

AC Milan want to prevent Gigio from playing in the EURO 2021 with the Italian national team without having defined his position. The Azzurri will officially being their expedition on 11 June with the inaugural match against Turkey. By that date, Milan will know Donnarumma’s choice.

Meanwhile, the rumors about a transfer to Juventus are only intensifying. However, the Rossoneri consider it more of a move from Mino Raiola to force Milan to increase their offer. Juventus are having their worst season in years and probably signing a new goalkeeper may be the last thing in their thoughts.
